• Sensory Memory (SM) : Ability to retain impressions
of sensory information
after
the original stimuli have ended.
• Short-Term Memory (STM): Capacity to keep a small
amount of information
for a short period of time. It has a
limited storage.
• Long-Term Memory (LTM): Capacity to keep or
remember information for a
long period of time. It has a large storage
WHY
WE FORGET? 😞
1. Did not pay full attention to the information
given.
2. Cramming or known as last minute study.
3. Study only for exams not for knowledge.
4. Does not understand the information and do not
have good strategies.

STRATEGIES
It can help students to keep their information or to
remember, such as encoding, storing and retrieving. Student can use mind
map,acronym,singing or use your own key word
WAYS TO IMPROVE OUR MEMORY STRATEGIES: ✨:
1. Massed
practice(MP) VS Spaced practice(SP)
Massed
practice is cramming and it is not recommended while spaced
practice
is well-prepared and it is recommended
2. Breaking
reading material down
No
cramming such as read 2 chapters per day continuously before the exam.
3. Rehearsal
Repeat or
practice until you remember.
4. Elaboration
